Leadership, Voice, and Accountability

This pillar focuses on building the leadership capacity of young women to enable their meaningful participation in democratic governance and decision-making processes. We empower women and girls to demand accountability from institutions and leaders, fostering their agency in shaping policies and practices that impact their lives at community, national, and regional levels.

  • Mwavuli Movement for Young Women Groups: The Movement creates a transformative platform that amplifies the voices and experiences of young women, promoting a collective force for positive change through capacity building, advocacy, and community engagement. We equip young women with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to address local challenges, promote gender equality, and drive meaningful social transformation.
  • Civic Hubs: These hubs serve as vibrant local centers where young people can receive training, and participate in discussions aimed at strengthening their civic engagement and advocacy skills. They are safe spaces for networking, collaborating, and organizing collective action to influence decision-making processes and demand accountability in their communities.
