Digital Inclusion and Innovation for Social Change
Empowering Young Women Through Digital Skills
Husika strengthens the digital and economic power of young women by providing practical skills, including social media marketing, content creation, digital bookkeeping, graphic design, and digital safety. These skills help young women participate online safely, build income streams, and access emerging digital opportunities with confidence.
Skills Development Programs
Our ICT interventions also target young women aged 15–35, including those living with HIV. Over six months, participants receive hands-on training in computer basics, internet use, Microsoft Office, and accessing online healthcare information. They also connect with online support networks and learning communities, preparing them for lifelong learning, entrepreneurship, and digital participation.
Safe and Inclusive Spaces
We provide digital and physical safe spaces where young women can learn, discuss, and practice their skills in supportive environments. Programs integrate digital safety and prevention of technologically facilitated GBV, ensuring all participants—including young women with disabilities and intersex individuals—can engage confidently and securely.
Pathways to Economic Empowerment
Our training opens pathways to higher education, entrepreneurship, and income generation. Participants apply their skills in micro-enterprises, freelancing, and community-based digital projects, building independence and leadership.
